01What Is the Claude AI SEO System?
The Claude AI SEO system is a method where Claude AI writes and publishes SEO content automatically across five websites, using real case studies and Google Search Console data. It turned one site from 0 to 27,000 clicks without the owner writing a single article.
In this episode, Julian Goldie explains the full 90-day roadmap, including the five-site flywheel, the 13-step skill file, and how to read your own search console data to find gaps and leaks. The system works by having Claude create five unique articles per keyword, publishing them the same day, and linking them together. This creates a flywheel where each round of content generates fresh keyword data, which feeds the next round of articles.
02Main Features of the Five-Site Flywheel
The core feature is the five-site flywheel, where five small websites work together to boost each other's rankings. Here's what makes it work:
- Five unique articles per keyword – Different titles, angles, and examples go out across five sites.
- Same-day publishing – All articles are published on the same day, and Google is pinged the same hour.
- Interlinking – Each article links to the others where relevant, building a network.
- Self-improving loop – Fresh impression data reveals new keywords that feed the next set of articles.
- Google Search Console integration – Pulls keyword data directly from your own sites, which no one else can see.
- Cloud-based automation – Two cloud accounts run the system, so it works like a two-person team that never sleeps.
This replaces the old way of one site, one article a day, and guessing keywords from tools that show everyone the same data.
03How to Set Up the Claude AI SEO System
Setting up the system takes about two weeks, according to Julian. Here's the step-by-step process he used:
- Build five small websites using Eleventy and host them on Netlify. You don't need WordPress or plugins, and you can't even log in, which keeps you focused.
- Connect every site to Google Search Console, which is Google's free tool showing every keyword your site appears for.
- Set up a Google Cloud Workspace API and give your AI agents access to pull data from it.
- Install the 13-step Claude SEO skill file, which contains written instructions Claude follows every time it writes.
- Plug in real case studies from your own experience as the source of truth for content.
- From day 15, publish one keyword and five articles per day, every day.
Julian notes that the technical parts, like Eleventy and Netlify, were set up by Claude for him, so you don't need to be technical either.
04How to Use It with Real Examples
To use the system, you pick one keyword and one real case study. For example, Julian used topics like "how to use Hermes agent" or "how to use Odolama." Claude then writes five different articles, each with a unique title and angle, and they get published across your five sites the same day.
After a few weeks, your Google Search Console starts showing data. Julian showed the example of the keyword "AI SEO course," which had 650 impressions and position 21 but zero clicks. That's a gap—Google was showing the site but there was no proper page, so he created one.
Another example was "Hermes workspace," with over 14,000 impressions but less than one percent click-through rate. That's a leak—the page ranked fine but the title or topic wasn't good enough, so he rewrote the page.
The system also uses a Kanban board where teams of agents create, publish, and quality-control content. Julian used Hermes or Claude for tasks like SEO quality control.
05Results, Tests, and Comparisons Shown
Julian shared real results from five websites. One site went from 0 to 325 clicks at its peak and continues to grow. It received 27,000 clicks from AI SEO.
Another site sat flat from January to April, getting 30 to 60 clicks a week, then shot up from 81 to 293 clicks a week, reaching 405 clicks per week.
The system was compared to traditional SEO, which uses one site, one article a day, guessing keywords, and waiting months for Google. The new way gets content indexed within about 24 hours using an indexing API. Julian also tested cheaper AI models but found Claude was "goated" for writing and running the whole system.
Failures included Hermes doing outreach badly at first, ranking for keywords nobody clicks, and five sites sometimes competing against each other. Julian fixed outreach by using Hunter API and advised being careful with keyword targeting.
06Tips, Limits, and Mistakes to Avoid
Julian shared several tips and warnings:
- Expect flat months – New sites often sit flat for months while Google learns to trust them. Most people give up, but the system keeps publishing, so it doesn't matter.
- Fix gaps and leaks – Use your search console to find keywords with impressions but no clicks (gaps) and pages with clicks but low click-through (leaks).
- Optimize existing content – From day 46 to 75, focus on fixing pages, not just publishing. Julian got four times the clicks by improving CTAs, schema, internal links, and removing duplicate content.
- Rank inside AI search – By having multiple sites mention your brand next to key terms, AI engines learn to recommend you.
- Don't use cheaper models – Julian tested them and they were nowhere near as good as Claude.
- Avoid competing with yourself – Sometimes the five sites fought over one keyword, which is messy, but it's still better than competing with competitors.
07Who It Is For and Why It Matters
This system is for anyone who wants SEO traffic without writing articles themselves. Julian says the 90-day plan is public, and you can set it up even if you're not technical. The skill file handles the technical stuff, so you only need to supply a keyword and a couple of case studies about your work.
The system matters because it lets you automate content creation at scale, using your own data that competitors can't see. It also gets you recommended inside AI search, which is a game almost nobody is playing. By the end, you'll have five sites teaching AI who you are, and you'll get traffic from both Google and AI engines.
Julian's results show it works: nearly 1,500 AI-written posts across his sites, with traffic growing exponentially. The flat months don't stop the system, and the 90 days will pass anyway, so you might as well set it up.
