Grok Bot SEO means using Grok Bot, an AI agent that works in the cloud, to find keywords and create content for search. You set up different agents, and each one does one job.

In this episode, Julian Goldie shows how he uses it. On the left side of Grok Bot you can see a list of AI agents. Each agent can pass its work to the next one.

The basic setup has three parts:

  • A research agent that scans for what is trending.
  • A content agent that writes and publishes articles.
  • Connected apps, such as Netlify for hosting and Gmail for outreach.

Julian is honest about his own use. He does not use Grok Bot much day to day and still uses Claude. But many people ask how to use it, so he made this walkthrough.

02Main features of Grok Bot for AI SEO

Grok Bot lets you build several bots, and they work together. Here are the features Julian shows in this episode.

  • Research agent: scans the web every day for what has taken off in AI agents and gives you a daily update in the background.
  • Content agent: receives the best findings and writes articles. A writer agent can do the same job.
  • Agent hand-offs: the research bot passes the strongest findings to the content agent. It also passes them to a chief of staff agent that acts as CEO.
  • App connections: you can connect apps like Netlify and Gmail.
  • Skills: you can give an agent your own SEO skill so it follows your workflow.
  • Stop button: you can stop the agent at any time while it works.

The content agent can also create an MD file and give you the link to it. It can publish straight to your website too.

With Gmail connected, you can even do link building outreach to other websites.

03How to set up Grok Bot SEO agents

Setting up takes a few clear steps. Julian calls the first two the main setup.

  1. Click create a new bot inside Grok Bot.
  2. Tell the bot exactly what you want it to do. That is how Julian made each of his agents.
  3. Build your keyword research agent with a prompt like: you are my research bot, scan the web for what has taken off in AI agents this week and hand the strongest findings to my other bots.
  4. Set it to run every day so you get daily updates.
  5. Connect your apps. Type in Netlify to connect it so you can host your websites.
  6. Create or open your content agent, or a writer agent.
  7. Give it your SEO skill and ask it to write and publish.

You can also connect Gmail if you want to do outreach later.

Once these pieces are in place, the research flows to the content agent with little work from you.

04How to use Grok Bot SEO to find trending keywords

The research agent looks for trending keywords that you can rank for fast. Julian has done this across several websites, including fortheaiprofitboardroom.com.

There are two reasons to go after trending keywords:

  • Competition is very low because you move so fast that nobody else can compete.
  • Many people are searching for the topic.

Julian gives two examples from his list. Herald OS is a new tool that just dropped on GitHub for Hermes agent. Hark Pro was a new AI agent that dropped the week before.

When Herald OS dropped, Julian made content on it. Within a day of publishing, the article was getting 34 clicks a day.

You can also take over more of the results page. For Herald OS, his content ranks in several spots. These pages rank well organically and also in Google generative AI.

05How to publish content with Grok Bot and Netlify

After research, the content agent writes the article. Julian gives it his own SEO skill. Then he says something like: create a new article about Manus, and the agent writes it.

The agent creates the content, saves it in an MD file and gives you a link. It can then publish directly to your website. Julian shows an article that went live on his AI Profit Boardroom site.

It has calls to action, a case study and clean formatting.

Julian likes Netlify for hosting AI SEO sites. He gives three reasons:

  • He never has to log in and manage WordPress again, which saves his team many hours each week.
  • It is very fast for hosting.
  • AI agents are very good at managing logins on Netlify.

You can also use Gmail in Grok Bot to reach out to other sites for link building.

Julian shows four websites that all sit on Netlify. Each one grew from zero clicks a day. He uses them to show that this setup can work for ranking sites.

  • One site grew from zero to 35 clicks a day.
  • One site grew from zero to 79 clicks a day.
  • One site reached a peak of 235 clicks a day.
  • One site grew from zero to 1,300 clicks a day.

He also points to the Herald OS article, which got 34 clicks a day within a day of publishing.

Julian says Netlify is good for hosting, good for ranking, and good for AI agents to work with. These numbers are from his own sites, so your results may differ.

07Tips, limits and mistakes to avoid with Grok Bot SEO

Julian shares some clear warnings. The first is to check content by hand. He says Google recently put out guidance on AI generated content.

You should manually quality control it before you publish. Julian has a manual SEO content checklist inside the AI Profit Boardroom.

The second is to add your own experience. He always does this inside his SEO skill. If you do not, it is hard to rank, because AI can write generic content anyway.

His Herald OS style articles talk about how he personally tested Hermes Agent and Grok Bot.

  • Give the agent your ideas and preferences.
  • Add case studies and real tests.
  • Stop the agent if it goes the wrong way.
  • Do not sign up for lots of subscriptions you do not need.

Julian is honest here. He still uses Claude Opus 5.5 himself. Still, he says Grok Bot is good for SEO and can automate a lot.
